I apologize in advance for asking what may seem like a stupid/noobish question but I'm brand new to Toyota trucks. Anyway, I just bought an automatic 1984 Toyota Truck Xtracab RWD for $2400 in decent condition and am still figuring the quirks of the vehicle out. Anyway, from what I can tell, there are two clickstops for the lights. The first turns on the parking, license plate, side marker, etc. lights and the second turns on the headlights plus all others. However, what I can't seem to find is anyway to switch between high and low beams. What am I missing here? The headlights turn on without issue but I don't see where the heck I'm supposed to switch between low and high.

 

Push the headlight stock/lever forward to get high beams

Also, if you pull the same stalk toward you it will flash the high beams

 

For the constant high beam to work, the low beam lights will need to be turned on first.

The high beam flashers will work any time you want.
