Need help with ignition timing

Need help with ignition timing

I have a 1993 toyota pickup with the 22re in it just got a brand new engine and need help with ignition timing i no about the jumper and the number one spark plug to hook timing light but i have a timing light that has a knob on the back from 0 to 60 what do i need to have that set to to check the timing? i can't seem to find any where in the books or online about what to set it to.

That is a "dial back timing light". Convenient for checking timing at higher rpms than idle. For your purposes set it to '0' and follow normal timing instructions.
