I had to look twice to see who that clean shaven person was driving your rig. It was YOU!

Say it with me...

30 spline Longfields w/ chromoly axle inners
High Crossover steering w/ IFS box
stainless steel brake lines
37/12.50/15 MT/Rs...or equivalent
front ARB locker

...and that thing will rock w/ no worries.

Yeah, I figured I'd clean up too since the truck was now clean.

I am going to order the longfields & brake lines next week. I read that the next weak link will then be R&P and u-joint. I guess I'll install strengthened gears & a u-joint when I have the 3rd member all torn down. I am ordering some inner axle seals to replace the one you gave me, I'll PM you when they come in.

the longfields ARE the "u-joint" equivalent unless you are referring to the driveshaft. Toyota axles have birfields, not u-joints.

I stand corrected, I meant the driveshaft. Thanks for the correction. I was trying to name where the driveshaft connects to the axle housing. Showing my noobness...

I'm still waiting for my buddy to get a day to cut & re-weld the tube doors so they'll fit. I snapped a few pics with the top down.

Cool, thanks again. You going to make River-rocks you think? I don't know if I'll be able to make it in three weeks, I doubt I could get the 30 splines here & installed in time. We'll see though. If I can make it I will. I am going to shoot for having the axles & high steer with hydro assist done by August in time for the Southern Jambo. A locker in the front & brakes & I'll be good to go I think. At some point I need to get the custom drive shafts measured so I can have a new stronger one made & keep these for spares. If everything is done by Spring '07 I'll be happy.

I think it happened when I was coming up Fain's ford & had to reverse and pick a new line, but I'm not sure. I would think I had plenty of clearance then. It's only welded in the middle above the tow reciever, so it could have happened any time I guess. I cant wait to ditch it for a new rear bumper.

I have a smittybuilt bumper that as I smash it I slowly cut off the useless unfixable sections, hahaha. Hopefully soon, maybe tonight, I will be able to get rid of it! Time for a new bumper to go with all the other new stuff you are getting!
