Exclamation To Much fuel non-start issue

I have an 84 Pickup,22R with a stock Aisen carb on it.
Issue:
I was driving along I hit a speed bump hard, shortly after that the truck dies. check the fuel level and its got plenty of gas.

What I've done so far:
the carb, out the top was a little wet and vary gassy smelling. I've got spark when the engine is cranked over ,and I can hear the carb sucking air when I'm cranking. then when I'm done I can see fuel pooled on top of the butterflies. it continues to drip out of the flute when cranking is over. I pulled the spark plugs they look good, I have plenty of spark when tested. the starter cranks well, but I have fuel flying out of the #4 cylinder while the starter is cranking. I removed the horns off the carb to see if the float was stuck and it wasn't and, all vales seem operable(however I am not well versed in how to service carburetors).

when I started this project I cranked on it a lot hoping it would fire up, it would fire ocationley but as soon as I introduced any throttle it would die, or sometimes when I would release the starter it would die. after I messed with it for a while I noticed I had gas seeping through the exaughts where the O2 sensor is. I was told to start with the fuel pump, I don't know how a bad fuel pump to result in so much excess fuel but when I pulled the line I could tell that it was holding pressure before I broke the seal cause gas poured out the "to carb" side of the pump.

--as a side tangent before this problem cropped up I was doing some HVAC work and I removed the entire HVAC wiring harness I don't know if there's anything in there that's mandatory for operations or not.

Any and all ideas are helpful I've run out of options this is my daily driver and it snows here I need this thing back up and running as soon as possible, but it needs to be done right.

Got a copy of the factory service manual? The link below has different years you can download.

Admittedly this is a guess, but it sounds to me like either your needle valve isn't closing or you have a blocked idle circuit, and it's trying to start/run on the main jet only. This can look like a flooding condition either way. If it's the blocked idle circuit I've dome the following before and it worked:

- Remove the passenger side bolt/plug from the front of the carb. That gives you access to the idle jet. Shoot some carb cleaner (use the red straw that comes with the cleaner) into the idle jet to wash/clean it out. Then give it some time (like 15-30 minutes) to air dry, reinstall the bolt/plug, make sure it doesn't leak, then try & fire up the engine. It could take a bit of cranking as the bowl will need to refill with fuel.

this is where were at

I popped the carb off and took the horns off to inspect the needle valve and to see if the float was stuck. everything was beautiful inside and like new, I reassembled the carb and put it back on and BOOM the truck fires up. I must have nocked something loose or the float was stuck and taking it apart un stuck it. I also replaced the spark plugs and its running fine now

Maybe the hard hit on the speed bump stuck the float open? I dunno. Glad it worked out for you tho. Good work.
