Hello,

I have an 85 SR5 4x4 that is in need of some mechanical work specifically my 4x4 front drive doesnt engage, I have a weird rattle sound at low rpm, and I have high NO at 25 MPH for the CA smog test. I dont have time to work on it and was looking for recommendations for anyone in the Southern California that could help. I prefer to have someone with experience and reliability work on it than some mom and pop auto shop or the expensive dealerships.

Hi there Al, I’m located in southern California and might be able to help out. I own an 85 4runner and I’m pretty familiar with these trucks. What exactly do you have? A pickup or 4runner? What engine does it have; EFI or carb? Is the transmission auto or is it a 5 speed?Mike

Yotamasters in Corona ca. I'm probably going to bring my 86 4runner to them next week . I have only bought parts from them before ,but their reputation with these older Toyota's is very good . I do most of my own work , but the electrical gremlins are making me crazy ... good luck
