Can anyone point me in the direction where I might be able to find one.
I am trying to buy a portable winch from Warn and they only have bumpers from '86+.
Does anyone know where I might be able to find one for a '85 or how hard is it to modify the one for the '86?

Well, you could always build one. The PO built one for my truck, personally, I don't like it at all, but it is pretty solid. Come to think of it...want to buy it?



It sits low on the body due to the truck having a body lift, I have a hook in the receiver, I have only used it for pulling out stuck trucks but it is solid. You could always build something like that, that way you wouldn't kill your ground clearance with the receiver setup.

 

If your money is burning a hole in your pocket, my welder will burn some metal for you.

Seriously if you live near me, we could make one for you on the weekend for however much it cost at the metal yard.

Any welding shop can put one together for you in an hour. It's a no brainer.
