Anybody knows where I could find an Idle air control valve part number 22230-3015, for a 86 4runner 22RE ?

Well if you can no longer get it from the dealer your going to need to hunt for a used one.

Is it bad or do you need to adjust it?

don't even look for a replacement, it's a junk design.

swap the throttle body/plenum for the later 22re hardware, you'll lose that valve entirely, and the truck will run better.

Me thinks you are missing a digit in the last of the part number.

Hi All,
- The current Iacv does not operate ( tested at high and low environment ).
- the correct part number is 22230-35010
- OSV could you be more explicit on the Throttle/Plenum replacement?

Thanks OSV, While the swap is more involved than a IACV change, I will have to consider it if I do not find any other solution.

it's not as bad as it looks... hassling with the tps swap was the most irritating part of it for me.

you can use the accelerator cable that you already have, just take a die grinder to the last 1/16" inch or so of the cable, leaving enough plastic on the cable end it to fit it into the barrel piece that has the set screw.

i got a pack of various barrels at pep boys, and drilled out the diameter of the smallest one, it fit fine.

you can use the lower section of the intake manifold that you already have, you don't even have to remove it, just take off the upper plenum only.
