How to remove ANY crankshaft pulley bolt

I happen to know the super secret method to do this.
I will share this with you only because I too once felt your pain.
(Please note this method actually works even better with the motor out of the truck.)
A) Purchase a 12" lady's foot - http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=31382
B) Purchase a strong breaker bar with the correct sized 19mm impact socket.
C) Go to your local home improvement store and purchase a 3-6ft long aluminium fence pole to slide over the breaker bar. (make physics work for you)
D) Either pull your oil pan and have someone place the lady's foot up in the the block or remove the engine and turn it over so it looks like this:

E) Place the lady's foot where the line is so the balancers/crank will rotate around and stop on it. This will keep the crank from moving without hurting, denting, scratching, or breaking anything.
F) Next just put your fence pole on the breaker bar and slowly turn until it breaks loose.
Hope this helps and Good Luck!

I'm lazy, and usually put my 3ft breaker bar on the bolt, rest it on the ground, and crank the starter.
That, or I put it into fourth gear, have a friend step on the brakes, and use my 3ft breaker with a 4ft pipe on it.

I made a crank pulley tool from a piece of pipe and a block of steel. It takes some effort to make, but it's easier to use than taking the oil pan off and putting a bar between the block and crank.
I'll look for pictures.
