how to paint 4runner top

how to paint 4runner top

looking for advice on how best to paint my 4runner top. it's black but want to paint it off white to match wheels.
do i rattle can it? if so is there special paint for fiberglass? what is prep like?
do i have a paint shop do it? thanks for the advice

I power washed mine then rolled on the Rustoleum Oil Based Enamel Paint I had and it worked fine. did 3 coats

Clean. Sand. Degrease. Paint. If you really care.

Me. I cleaned it a little and hit it with some Rustoleum.

only hassle with rolling it on if it is humid out it can take a few days to cure real well.

please advise on sanding of the top. i know it's fiberglass so should i be more gentle than if i were prepping metal?

Get some scotch brite and just scuff up the old paint thats on there. After its scuffed up, clean it off with some solvant and paint away, its not that hard
