HELP!!! asap

toady i did my sr5 cluster swap on my 85 efi 4runner...

i did the oil unit and everthing works great

so when i went for a drive around the block the speedo is waaaayyyy off i was in 2nd gear at 2000 rpms and it had just reached the max at 85mph..
what could be wrong..
is it maybe because this is an 85 mph cluster and my oeiginal one is a 110mph

pleas help i need to get this fixed

thaanks matt

No, I did this conversion and the gears inside the speedometer unit itself differ from those in the 85mph unit... to accomodate this kind of efficient, universal idea.

Your problem lays outside of the cluster itself, unless its a defective speedometer.

alright guys heres what i did..
i took the cluster apart and took off the whole speedo part
i found all kinds of grease spun and splattered inside the cluster so i cleaned it all out and hooked it up and it worked like a champ so that magnetic clutch looking thing had grease in it causing friction which made the gauge move up soooooo

then i felt ambitious so i took it back apart and swaped out the odometer dials with my old one so now my mileage is correct
if anyone has any questions just let me know id be happy to explain
