Hard Starting

Ok Im not sure whats causing this, but Im thinking starter maybe. When I try to start the truck it turns over and hickupps but not try to start, its like the engine binds down it seems to be in a rhythm. The starter is fairly new, timing is not advanced too far and my battery is charged. What yall think? The truck will start ok when it gets turning over fast enough.

the fsm points to the ac signal circuit for slow cranking.

have you pulled the plugs to see if it will turn over faster, and check your ground from frame to motor.
