My uncle bought an 85 4Runner and it needs a new gas tank. Are the pick up and 4Runner gas tanks so different that they wont fit on his 4Runner? I know the mounting brackets are different but are they so different they wont fit? Any help would be great

 

the 4runners gas tank for that year is almost identical to the pick up so yes it should fit if they are the same year

 

The 4Runner has a bigger fuel tank than a pick up, so double check things before you try and swap tanks.
