If you look closely at picture number 15, you'll find there is a solder blob between the second and third lines, these are not supposed to be connected.

If you look back abit further you'll see that someone had swaped E1 and FC in the harness plug.

These two issues resulted in the pump being energized any time the key was placed to run.

It was the AFM. I replaced it with another. No whine from fuel pump, no fuel pump energized until crank

sometimes it simply means the afm thinks air is coming through. Sometimes from people play with the afm, Usually from people popping the cover off and not resealing it.
