Fuel Problem

I have an 84 pickup with a 22re in it. it doesnt start, when you turn the key it turns over, starts and idles for a second or two and dies. i replaced the fuel filter and the fuel pump and it still does the same thing. theres a clog somewhere in the system but i cant figure out where. could it be the fuel pressure regulator?

It could be the fuel presure regulator or the idle air solinoid, and im sure a few other things.

Have you tried shorting the fuel pump connector? It bypasses the fuel pump relay as well as the switch in the AFM, just in case they're the problem.

don't know EFI terminology but check that the sensor on top of the air filter box is plugged in, my motorhome did the same thing and that connection was loose.
