If you're worried about one filter being good enough, chain 3 or 4 together.

I think the 22re has a diff fuel filter set up i know on all 22re models its by the starter on the block.... guess 22r's are diff due to the carb lol. Course the carbs have a few filters in the system.... on in the carb itself and another outside filter....

The toyota filters are nice because they trap sediment in the bottom, and don't plug as easily as the inline filters, for the same media size.

I've simply blown air backwards thru the filters to clean them up in the middle of a wheeling trip and kept going.

Fuel filter was straight muddy, and spark plugs were caked black. Good thing this motor is coming out. Rings are shot. Major blow by on cyl 1 and 4 from the looks of the plugs. Once again shes purrin though. Love Toyotas.
