Fan switch problem?

Fan switch problem?
My heater/ac fan on my 85 4runner only works on the medium high and high settings it seems I saw a reference to this being a common problem I did a search but didn't really find anything.
I could do some hands on diagnostics and figure it out but if its a common problem any insight would be greatly appreciated.

It's the blower motor resistor. Located in the blower housing, you will be able to see it when looking up under the dash at the blower motor. It has a little clip connection, and is held in place by 1 philips screw.
The reason you have high is because low puts the most strain on the resistor, and so on up the line. You will always have Hi because that current setting doesn't flow through the resistor.
