Exterior Side vent clips?

On my 84 4runner there are the side vents right behind the passenger and driver door. The clips are broke from taking it off. Anyone have any ideas on what clips these are or where to find replacements? I have done some searching on google and ebay, but haven't come up with anything yet.

My local auto fastener store had them. So does the dealer. It's a standard style clip still used a lot. Typically one use and breaks on removal.

Yeah, I'll have to see what I can find for a generic one. Thanks for the info.

i went to autozone and got door panel fasteners and they work great. these ones. if i remember right i had to cut two flat sides in the head of them so they would fit in the slot on the trim piece. mine have held tight for a year now.

Thanks. Do you happen to have any dimension on the body of the clip as I am headin to napa today to pick up a KD in-lb torque wrench, valve cover gasket, water hose fitting, water hose, and, now, hopefully a handful of clips.

i want to say 5/16", but dont quote me. take a bolt that fits snug in the hole and use it for reference. dont forget the fins need to be wider than the bolt to hold.

Yeah, I'm gonna just take a set of calipers and measure the hole. Might take a bolt as well, that is a good idea. Thanks for the help. The truck just hasn't looked quite right w/o them on and it's been months since the paint job n linex. lol...

Ha ha... I knew that was coming. I will try and get some tonight after I get the vents on assuming that NAPA has the clips I will need.

its common stock for auto parts stores. if you mention "new paint" and "line-x" its mandatory (unwritten rule) that you put up pics. lol

ha ha... I got the supplies tonight from napa, but the evening got busier than I anticipated so I will hopefully be able to get around to it tomorrow. When I get the sides on I'll post up some pics. It is still a work in progress and has been a lot of mechanical work getting this thing in great running order (still working on engine though).
