I just swapped engines on my 85 pickup and when i started her up she was leaking exhaust straight from the manifold flange even though i put in brand new gaskets... at first i thought it might just be an initial burn off? but realised that wouldnt really make sense... I tightened it as much as possible but still no go.. is this a normal 22r problem or what? It has stock headers on it..

 

If the leak is between the manifold and pipe , One of the gaskets may have slipped out of place.
