Driveshaft flanges

'85 4Runner, 5sp - 5" AllPro lift. Rear driveshaft broke at the transfer case U-joint. This destroyed the driveshaft. Found a replacement shaft at an auto-recycling center; it has '86 Turbo and '88 SWB painted on it. The length measured right.

When I tried bolting it in, the bolt holes in the flanges on the driveshaft are 1 cm wider then the flanges on the rear 3rd member and transfer case.

A Toyota off road specialty shop indicated that Toyota will not sell the flanges separate from the driveshaft.

How have other solved this problem?

Where can I get flanges that are the correct size bolt pattern?

if the flange is still good cant u just pull the flange and swap it with the old one? then it should bolt in. also are the bolts pressed in on the flange? i had an issue where it wouldn't line up and go on so i pushed out the studs and it ended up fitting and bolting together just fine.

If all else fails, bore out the holes slightly larger, barely enough to fit, then bolt them on. Use some good sealant between t-case and differential. I would try this before getting a new pricey drive shaft?

Buy some triple drilled flanges that have all the bolt patterns. Done.
