Hi you guy I'm new to this forum

Wabbit, two different gen's of 22r there. And neither is a 22RE.
I think he means the truck was originally a 22RE truck but is now going on it's third engine????

I have posted numerous times on here about the differences between all the motors.

ok then it should be a direct swap. Exhaust ports should be the same between the two motors, if they are not then you have the wrong year on one of the motors. You said the truck was originally an EFI truck? But has a carb'd engine in it and the engine you want to put in is an 84 engine?

yup same engine as long as the exhaust ports are round. Just slap the thing in and go.

Here is those differences: http://www.lcengineering.com/TechNotes/?techid=49
