Coolant hose from timing chain on passenger side????

So I’ve been rebuilding my 84 4x4 truck and pulled the old stock intake and replaced it with an LCE offenhouser intake with Weber carb my problem is I connected a coolant hose from under the LCE intake to the heater core on the drivers side firewall and blocked off the hose coming out of the timing chain cover thinking this would solve my routing issues however I think this may be wrong the truck seems to heat up now idling I’m wondering if the circulation has been interrupted by the block off plate and I should be connecting this hose somewhere possibly one of the intake ports??? Any input on this issue would be a HUGE HUGE help....

Water by pass #1 & #2 (the small ports behind the water pump), are input/return to pump.
