so i swapped a blown 22re with a 22r from.a 83 celica. new water pump oil pump new gskets new head bolts...shouldve re ringed pistons in retrospect.
asaian carb. timing is dead on. compression is low...~60 dry 75 with(1tsp) 5ml atf. figure stuck rings. just added (2 ounces) 60ml atf to each hole this morning...too cold to check compression today.

so timing is dead on strong spark...will arc about 3/4 to 1"
but no start. not enev with ether.

im lost should start with ether even with only 60lbs compression.

any ideas? this is a junk yrd engine so it hs sat for years thus why i suspect stuck rings.
