Bought a FPR and have some questions
Ok so I finally bought a FPR for my truck I have a 22r .040 over with a 261 cam. I have a weber 32/36, and I have read that weber requires that a fuel pressure of 2-3psi. I threw this thing on and tuned it but could only get it to run on five... This being said I did have some pretty tight bends in the hose and i think this was lowering my pressure even more, so today I am going to go get a longer hose. Anyone have the same issue???

yea you might have to run a dual pr set up. i had one on my corolla for a while i got a mr gasket fpr from advance auto parts along with the holley fpr i was running by the pump. also i would think that bends in the line will increase pressure but decrease volume? im not sure on that one

I am in the middle of doing some work on my engine and changing a few things. I have a weber 38 with a holley regulator and a Mr. Gasket gauge. It runs pretty good, but I have read that the mechanical fuel pumps on our engines are not reliable since they pulse the fuel out instead of a steady flow. The webers like to have high volume low pressure, and they make an electric fuel pump for that.
I am going to block off my mechanical fuel pump and use the electric FP, the Holley FPR, and the gauge.
Also, I had my fuel lines routed too close to the engine and they were getting quite hot. I don't know if it would cause vapor lock, but I am going to reroute them when I do these mods.
