I have a 1977 Dodge Adventurer pickup that has a 440 big block mopar, mated to a TF-727 automatic transmission and an NP-203 t-case.

I can get an 84 4Runner with a siezed motor (but a good body), and a 14 bolt rear end and an NP-205 transfer case for next to nothing.

I am seriously thinking about narrowing and shaving the 14 bolt and dropping the Big Block Mopar stuff into the 4Runner, along with a np2-3-205 t-case.

I am looking for some pic of 1st gen 4Runners with some big blocks installed. Anybody got any pics I can see?

good luck bro, a 440 mopar will rip that frame and axles to pieces.

 

havent seen it done yet how wide is the motor

 

say by-by to the stock firewall and inner fenders

 

i wanna see some pics of the driveline after your first pull.. its gonna look like a twizzler

 

My friend did a chevy 350 in an 85 toy p/u and it was a really tight fit, I doubt you could go much bigger, without serious cutting and modifying.
