I took off the top of my 85 4runner and I just put it back on and the "back door" light is on and my window wont go up. I plugged it all in and the front switch still lights up. It wont work with the key either. It worked great a couple days ago and now nothing. Any ideas?

 

Make sure the tail gate is closing and latched on both sides, the light is on because one of the latches isn`t closing.

 

Thanks, I thought I made sure it was closed a couple of times but I will check. Just wondering, doesn't the light go on if the window is open?

 

the backdoor light goes on if the lock is not activated. did you also check that the second bolt from the rear on the drivers side is the correct length to depress the switch which controls the rear window.
