Another lincoln locker question

I know that this has been beaten to death but i am interested in details. I am looking at welding the spider gears, and not welding them to the carrier. Has anyone done this? I am running a stock motor with 32s & stock 4.10s. I am planning on getting a aussie locker soon so this would just be temporary.

Then dont waste your time welding them if you getting a locker. I have seen (when just the spiders are welded) it crack them and send the pieces into your gears.

just save your 200 for the lockright or aussie... once you weld you cant go back..
i have welded 4.10 on 32s and it works great

i love my welded rear, i'm just staying with it.
if you weld it, get a plate of mild steel in there, it really strengthens it up
