85 yota wont start -Wiring issue?

I have an 86 cab on an 85 yota which unfortunately gives me a lot of unconnected wires getting in my way. Problem is, last week the truck ran, and I decided to pull the 3" body lift off since it had split pucks etc. now I lowered it back to factory height and when I turn the key I get lights on the instrument panel, a click noise (which I assume is the relay?), but no starter engaging. I plan on simplifying the wiring (I want to rip the old harness out if I can since its an 86 harness and I have the 22r carbed engine. Any ideas on what this could be. I would greatly appreciate any help as this thing isnt moving at the moment. Looking at the side of the starter, everything appears to be hooked up. I have the thick wire going to the + terminal on the battery and the thinner black wire going to what I assume is the relay. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(I don't mind bypassing the key tumbler or anything else. Push button is in the near future.)

Found my problem. I hit the starter with a hammer and it must have had debris in it. Started right up. Of course I found out after web-wheeling for hours looking up wiring diagrams and checking the connections on the truck. Live and learn.

One thing you may consider adding is a relay.
It'll save you wear on the ignition / key switch contacts.
