85 toyota truck....

Well I stumbled across a 1985 4x4 truck. They want $500 for it.
It has a wooden flat bed on it and it's a auto 22re.
From what I gather it needs a few things a gas tank being one them and rear brakes.
It supposedly was a southern truck from South Carolina until 1999 and has only seen about 10 years of VT winters.
I haven't looked at it yet but I am thinking about it.
I mean it's a soild axle truck...
If I got it it would be getting likely 5.29's or 5.71's and 33's or 34's.

Any opinions should I get it?

If you're ok with an auto. I mean for $500 it's kind of hard to go wrong. If the engine & tranny are good, frame not rusted, why not?

Well so far I haven't been able to get in touch with this guy on the phone.

I have called a couple times rang and rang went to voicemail.
I emailed last night they emailed me back told me he still had it and to call the number I did still haven't reached them.
I think it might be nice to have a second soild axle toy. I have no clue what shape the frame is in. I would suspect decent if it has only seen 10 years of winter unlike my 23 year old truck that has seen more than that.
