85 pickup engine swap-or sell

Hey. I am needing some advice or conversation about my old 85 pickup. I've got 322,996 miles and counting. It's a daily driver. I'm replacing 2qt of burned oil every ~600 miles. I don't have the time to keep up on the engine anymore. I've done a lot of work including timing chain and gaskets, but nothing with the valves-where I think my oil burn is coming from. My idea has been to upgrade to something with a 6cylinder. My 22re does the job, but I had a small 1500lb trailer that could not go cross country being hauled by the 22re. I'd like something stronger. Does anyone know about common swaps that are compatible with an 85 toyota pickup? Or should I move on to a new truck?

I did a 3.4 swap in my 88 and an 86. People have put VW TDI engines in, V6 Chevy, V8 Toyota, etc. If you don't have the time to fix it, you probably won't want to deal with a swap. It's a desirable model that I'm sure would sell easy if you decide to move on. Good luck with whatever you decide.
