Ok Guys and girls I recently serviced my automatic transmission in my 85 4runner with efi. Haynes manual says 2.5 quarts which is far less then what I removed and it isn't registering on the dip stick. help me out here

Well, it's a no-brainer that you gotta put in as much, or maybe more, than you took out.

You did look at the dipstick measurement level before you started, did'nt you???

Typos happen.

Maybe they transposed the 5-speed manual specs.

It has been a long time since I have serviced an automatic transmission but the Torque Converter would probably take 2-3 quarts just by itself. Did you take it into account?

I don't have my manuals with me but usually the manuals I have dealt with say X amount for Torque Converter and X amount for the transmission.
