85' 2 wd 4 speed to 5 speed

I just bought an 85 2 wheel drive pickup with a 22r in it and a 4 speed trans. I want to switch the trans to a 5 speed. did they make a 5 speed for 2wd in 85 or do I need a later model 5 speed?

Yes there was a 5spd in '85 for 2wd trucks.

The one I took out of my project truck was a W52 and it was 5spd.

Is the 5speed the same as the 4 w/ an overdrive or does it just bring your ratios closer? I actually like the idea of fewer gears so long as high gear still has the same ratio.

Still get 30mpg highway in my 88 2wd 22r 4 speed pickup. And that's going 2800-3200 rpms, mind you, which sits me about 70.
