84 4runner coolant question

Okay so I have an 84 4runner and I am getting her back on the road, and I wanted to find out if anybody knows if it would be okay to put that pink long life toyota coolant in her or to stick with the green prestone coolant. I know the pink stuff is specially formulated for now and day technology(like every 50K, and special blocks and radiators), plus I don't know if it would change the way she heats up, so I was wondering what would be the best thing to use. When ever somebody gets a chance let me know what you think.

Just use plain old coolant (Prestone, etc.) and you'll be fine.

I just changed out my water pump and my radiator and I filled up with the pink Toyota coolant. The engine stays cool, but my heater sure takes a long time to get warm now. (read: almost not at all) I don't know for sure if it is the coolant or if the old heater core is just plugged up. I'm gonna change out the heater core next chance I get, so I'll let ya know.

Thanks guys really apperciate your help. She is almost ready for the road. Yeah, I head that if you change out your coolants it takes longer for it to heat up, like in my gm it had green prestone then I changed it to the orange gm stuff and now it takes forever for it to heat up. But thats why I asked because I didn't want to mess up anything in the truck she's my "baby".

I had trouble with my cooling system, slow leak, hardly any heat in wintertime, etc. I installed a new radiator, a genuine Toyota T-stat, and filled it with Dex-Cool, the red stuff from GM. No problems in the 4 years since.

I run Toyota red coolant and distilled water with a dual-valve thermostat:

And have heat out of the heater by the end of the block. Might try backflushing the heater core and make sure the heater valve is opening fully and not clogged with deposits.
