5" lift

Hey guys im lookin for some advice. The stock springs on the front of my truck especially are shot. The rears sag as well. Please do not flame me because i can assure you i've done days and days of research. so much that my girlfriend says i should just marry the computer. I have gone back in forth in my head many times. started out 3" rough country lift, then decided on chevy swap, then downey, then chevy swap.....well you get the picture. I have finally decided on trail-gear. but now im tryin to decide whether i want the 5" or the 3". i think i want the 5 cuz i would like to regear and run 35's eventually. My question is will it look truly ridiculous if i run the 5" on some 33's for a little while? Anybody got any pictures of this set-up?

Oh and aside from brake lines and Hi-steer, will i need to do anything else? driveshafts, etc.

here is a link to wabbit's 85 build using TG's 4" kit: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f88/...ild-up-123186/

you might consider the 4" kit as a happy medium. I did the 5" on my '81 and feel that I am a bit high....though the flex etc is great. it was a bit of work redoing all the hangers and rear spring pads but am happy with the outcome.
can't tell you about the driveshafts though as I put dual cases in at the same time so had to lengthen my front and short the rear shaft anyway..

7" on 35's I like plenty of clearance was going to run 33's but too small a tire. Just get the 5" and you will be more than happy. Also I know 7" is overkill for 35's but that is what I like and big Toyota's are Sexy too.

Thanks for all the input guys. I am curious about something. Will i have to have that new spring mount for the front that welds in with the TG kit?
