Actually they don't, and if you decide to put one on make sure its the plum back kind. If you use a vented one with the stock efi your engine will run rich for a while after your shift.

I for some reason was thinkin waste gate ..

no stock BOV ..

Yep no BOV. I have an aftermarket one on and need to re-plumb it back into the intake. If you have an automatic then it wouldn't be a big deal, but since I swapped to a 5 speed, every time I shift, all the air that gets blown off is unmetered air and it falls on its face for a split second

I know it's an old thread...
but, the 22rte factory CT20 has an internal wastegate, no need for a BOV...

This is not correct.

These two devices serve separate functions.

Bov prevents excess pressure on the compressor, "surging" is what it's referenced as Google is your friend.
