22re knock sensor wiring harness

When I pulled the intake manifold off my 85 4runner with a 22re engine I missed/forgot to unplug the knock sensor so the wire broke around 6" past the connector. The problem is I can't find the other end of the wire that comes from the wiring harness. Can someone tell me where the knock sensor wire comes out of the wiring harness? Basically I have a black wire coming from the knock sensor and nothing to splice it to. I think it must have pulled out from the main harness so the other broken end is under the tape, but before I start ripping it apart, it would be nice to know where to start.

Thanks in advance.

My 86 Runner goes up into the section of the harness that rests on the inside of the intake plenum

22re knock sensor

Thanks I found it, it turned out the small black inner wire from the sensor had broken and pulled out from inside the shielded wire, so all I saw was a heavy silver wire (ground) coming from the harness. I peeled the shielded wire away and found the black wire inside it.

So I am little confused. I have been searching for how this sensor is wired because the guy i got the truck from spliced the wire bith a but connector. I do not see a shield. Will this throw a code 12.

22re knock sensor

If the small black copper wire coming from the knock sensor connector gets spliced to the silver shield wire, you will definitely get a 12 error code. The reason I got into trouble is because I forgot to disconnect the wire when I pulled the intake manifold/head, it broke the wire inside the coax shielded cable so it appeared that there was no matching wire for either cable. After finding the black wire inside the co-ax cable, everything worked fine, since all it did was ground the knock sensor and not the computer.

I see, the shield should be completly covering the black wire.
