My headgasket is finally finished, and while I'm getting ready to replace it, I'm considering swapping to a 20R head. I'm wondering what's different, if my carb will work on a 20R head, and what extra things I'll need for it, and any advice. I know so far that I'll need a timing kit, 22R headgasket, and the intake is different, but I found an adapter from LC that will make mine work. CAN I do this swap on a 1985 22R block? The deck height is just over 1/4" shorter on the newer (1985-up) 22R blocks. Anybody have help for me?
