Just bought this 1985/EFI after I payed for this rig I noticed something that I have never seen on a older Toyota.....The Interior is beige and a off white the inserts say SR5 all over the inserts of the seats ? Trim C/TR RN6DLG-MESA A/TM 3D7KB4141G292W56 VIN#JT3RN65WXF5081128.......Can anyone help me with this question or refer me to someone that can .I was Told It's called Vertigo,any truth to this. Thanks...Joseph

Are my eyes deceiving me or is the trans case in 4-lo? And if it is, may I ask why?

hey there !I dont know about the vertico or anything but mine is an 85 sr5 efi and has the seat print and inclomiter and I think at least mine is just an SR5 4runner .
But cant wait to see if you do have the vertigo with the beige .

 

My sons 85 Extra cab interior looks just like that, power window and all!
Moon roof, cruise control to? He doesnt have an inclomiter, Im not sure pick-ups got those.

 

My friends 85 Runner looks identical.

 

It is Veritgo found a business owner that has been around Toyotas all his live he explained that that pattern was used on very few Toyotas and i found a very rare find....he was inpressed on how well kept and all the maintinance records that came with this find.....He also explianed that in mid 1986 that Interior pattern was done away with ....I did some reseach and found that if a person can find the fabric to latch on to it.....i don't know if you seen the pics i posted but thier is not one blemish.....Lucky Find....

 

That Interior just made your son P/U ......a rare find keep it the value just jumped 3000.The shop owner made me a offer on my 85 Solid Axel EFI,9000.00 I my take him up on it thier is a 4 runner on a site www.bringatrailer.com....I believe it made it to 24.000.00 The owner stopped the auction and kept it.....it was black and had the Vertigo package 34000 miles........i could not believe the #'s it was a eye opener.....please go to the site...it sounded far fetched until i seen it for myself......keep the truck.....The shop owner will know if the trucks came with that option(inclomiter)and if so he has a couple of inclomiters and his prices are more than fair.....you can install the inclomiter...................I am still looking for a rear window switch for my 87 which is also loaded.....keep your eyes open for me ...and i will talk to Chris on the price of the if the price's start holding at that range, a new standard will be set for the 1st gen 4 runners and Trucks....send me a pick up josephdiaz61@gmail.com God Bless

Bought From A Guy on the Airforce Base ,the reason it's in 4-Low is because i climbed a hill that 2 jeeps and a chevy 4X4 couldn't climb,not only did i climb it i climbed the second one that only a Toyota can climb.....LOL....tryed to keep the plate,in New Mexico the owner has to keep thier plate and the point of sale....SUCkS...

I have owned numerous,Toyota's over the years and have never seen one with the options that mine has. Toyota's are awesome. everyting works right down to the cig lighter....I noticed the ash tray had never been used,the dash is cracked but Chris has one in mint condition,I also noticed the owner only replace parts with Toyota OEM parts Toyota's 4 EVER.............It 's getting 17 city and approx.28 highway with the Cold Air,running,the sun visors still have all the card board instructions,The 1st owner kept,all records,I am the 2nd owner and hope to follow his steps.................I also collect some guns and it was like finding a rare rifle or pistol still in the oiginal,box w/all the paperwork.The owner manual was in the glove box....

I think I too have the vertigo , if that interior and it being an 85 SR5 EFI solid axle with the inclometer , sunroof . Then I think mine must be ! ,But my interior is grey SR5 pattern .
Let me know , that would be even cooler than just the last year solid and EFI.

 

I couldn't believe it either.....if you do have onehang on to it ....they are worth some money ...go figure right mine came out of Canada...go to www.bringatrailer.com read the article it will amaze you.............1st gen are worth hanging onto ....what ever i find out i will be sure to share........

Yeah, Ive been fallowing that truck on ebay. He cant seem to get enough money to sell it...one day some crazy yoda lover will pull the trigger, Im sure.

People stalk my sons 85 all the time. He said just the other day a truck circled 3 times stoped in front rolled down the window gave the thumbs up and drove off. Its got 258K and still starts everyday. He pounds it on the beach weekly, Im talking sand that eats trucks i.e. tacos, chevys for breakfast. He just putts right along. Not moving to fast but moving!!!
