1985 4runner locker question

i have an 85 4runner with some goodies that im in the middle of building a motor for... when thats all done im looking to re-gear it.. 4.88's but i may go with 5.29's if i decide i want 35's... but anyway back to the question... if i lock the rear would that be bad for everyday driving? im going to drive the truck in the winter and its going to be used for a DD... i may lock the front to but i really havnt made my mind up yet... any info would be a big help! Thanks!

I don't like the on-road handling with my lockrite in my FJ40. I'm installing an Auburn LSD now.
My buddy is planning on pulling out the lockrite in his 87 truck. He's thinking e-locker or ARB.

Neither of us are "hardcore" wheelers, just don't like getting stuck when we do.

Just FYI, if you hit the "new posts" button, you'll find about 1 billion threads a day about lockers and handling on the road.

Your question is pretty vague. You should probably specify what type of locker you want to get. My truck is locked front and rear with ARB's and it drives normally.

If you lock with a lunchbox or auto locker, as Yoda said, you'll experience some some different driving characteristics. However, this is totally subjective. You may get used to it and love it, you may hate it. No one but you can answer that question.
