16" wheel on 85 4Runner

What are my options in a 16" wheel (preferably OEM and steel ) for my 85 4Runner? I guess backspacing is an issue. Reason is I have a nice set of 235/85/16 Firestone MTs I would like to use. Thanks

They reason that backspacing is such an issue with 15" wheel is the steering arms. With 16" wheels the interference goes away(within reason). I mounted 4" backspaced 16" wheels on my '85 with no interference.
It really comes down to preference on where your tires sit.
Call a friend with 16" wheels and try them on.

I've got 16's on my 84.... I can look this eveing and tell you what kind they are...

not on a 4 runner but my 80, 03 taco wheels. front wheels grinded on the tirod ends (little bit used grinder). rear with very little articulation the tire rubbed on the frame and sucked very badley in the second pict (elk hunt)
the tires are 235/85/16 in both picts
