Yellow '82 long box

Here is one of my daily drivers. I picked it up a year ago for 500$; it was needing a transmission. I had one so buying the truck was a no-brainer. It was a one owner truck that was maintained its whole life at the local toyota dealership. It had 248 000 km's when I bought it. I am hoping to restore it one day. I would like to get rid of the bush bumper, winch, and aftermarket wheels and return it to original condition, including color and stripes. I am thinking about getting a fiberglass box for it.

There's a Toyota dealership in Dawson City? All I remember was a lot of Ol' West facades, a motorcycle race, and that store that sells driver licenses, fishing equipment, and booze all in one (I'm sure the room in the back was a courthouse for dealing with DUIs during fishing trips...)

Do they salt roads up there?

You've probably been up Dome Rd., or is that just for tourists?

My BMW wagon in the middle.

By local I meant the Yukon dealership in Whitehorse .... no salting of the roads here, at least not in Dawson. Nice pictures from the dome! Of course I've been there many times over the years ..... Nice BMW.

I am thinking of parking the yellow beast soon, so as not to accumulate more wear and tear. I have two short box 4x4's as well, one of which is a Mojave.

What? You're turning a 4x4 Yota into a garage queen? Why on earth? Keep up maintenance and use it like it's meant to be used!

(Here's my own rendition of the "meant to be driven" philosophy: BC, YT, NT roadtrip summer '10)

The body looks exceptionally clean; my spent-its-life-in-Cali truck had more rust. How's the frame?
