Yay: New 1st Gen owner- 82 4WD

Just went and picked up a little 82 pickup, and I'm so exited to start learning! Im sure I'll get acquainted with a few of you...But untill then any tips and tricks will DEFINITELY be welcome! Feel free to tell me anything I need to know! Thanks guys.

Tip #4. Check EVERYWHERE for rust. And do #1 and use #2 all the time.

I have a Chiltons! Im looking at getting a FSM though, seems like I'll need it. I have a pretty bitchin toolset available to me...On of those old Jessie James edition Craftsmans sets...

I hace a thread going to download an 83 FSM look for it and download it for your 82 it will work fine

For microsoft users make you an account with photobucket and upload all your pictures to your account. Next go to a picture (in photobucket) you want to upload and look to the right of the picture and you see something about image url. Click it and it copies the url of the pic to your clipboard Then in your yotatech post, click on the little yellow icon that looks like it has a mountain and sun in it. Then in the box that pops up
paste the image-url for the picture you want to post.

Upload your pics to a service like Photobucket, then hover over your uploaded image and click-to-copy the code between the "[IMG]" tags then paste the code here.

Your truck has a 20R in it? The FSM I mentioned won't help for that. You should have a 22R but guess the previous owner put a 20R in it.
