In the winter! Wow. I'm glad you're going to fix the truck.

 

I built this truck last winter, I remember doing my high steer in -9 and 6" of snow.

I worked on the battery tray but its so rusty and I had a really hard time getting my grinder in there to cut it out, same with the sawzall, ended up cutting off the "tray" part and welding in some 1x1 sqaure tubing to brace it so atleast it supports the battery now.

 

glad to see you keep it. i've been there before with my 79, but i decided to take a break from it and finish it up when the sun comes back out.

i might be interested in the tires if you want to drag them across the border.

So I still need motor mounts, rear brakes(metal on metal), proportioning valve for the brakes, a new fan clutch, exhaust manifold gaskets and redo the exhaust and all of the other stuff I already posted in the thread.

I fixed my rear shackles atleast..

Took it out on a few easy trails on the weekend, not to happy with it. Had plans to take it out wednesday but not anymore, sounds like I have a cracked birf.

think il fix my car and park this thing for awhile.

 

I think I can "fix" you up for cheep .. I have all of these pieces .. (used) but in ok shape ..

there is shipping involved , and I want some costs ... if your interested .

 

Thanks for the offer, im planning on picking it all up new though. Money isn't really the object here for the most part, all the parts are pretty cheap. Im just tired of constantly doing work to this thing, especially since I barely ever wheel it anymore. Think il park it for sure and finish building up the new frame, basically the truck needs to be fully re-done.

 

buy a new dd. It would be worth fixing for a dedicated wheeler.Most of the time the more u modify and wheel a rig the less street worthy it becomes.

 

Pretty much, Ive always had a daily driver aswell as the truck, but my car (Supra) has a blown heater core which means I have to take all of the interior from the rear seats forward out to get at it. So im stuck with the truck for awhile, ive been daily driving it almost 3 months solid I guess, 6 months this year so far.
