What are my options for lifting a 1980 2wd Longbed Pickup?
Hey guys, this is my first post here. I just bought this 1980 2wd longbed pickup not realizing that lifting a 2wd is far more complicated than lifting a 4wd. I tried to do some research online but can't figure out exactly what needs to be done. I would like to lift it 4" and it would be my DD with very light offroad use.
Any feedback would be appreciated!

You have not ticked all the boxes sir, we need more details.
Are you looking for bigger tires, more ground clearance or ???
The 2wd is spring under axle, you can do a "ubolt flip" which gains you a little more than the axle housing diameter. If you still need more there are block lifts, longer shackles, and longer springs. You'll need to change out and/or crank up the torsion bars to level it out unless you want the raked look. There is also the drop spindle technic, aswell as the option of just stuffing bigger tires under it and cranking in the turn stops and hammering in the pinch welds.
Doing a 4" body lift is a possibility also that opens a big can of worms..
