dang I knew I forgot to do something. write up for an 87 coming soon should be the same for you. If you search on here you will find "some" info. But no real write ups. Just did mine, but no write up as of yet except the product review in my "build thread"

Just did the conversion tonight on my truck. No pics yet, but it wasn't too bad. Just got it drivable today, will have to clean up the miles of no longer used vacuum lines and finish tuning it tomorrow. I bought my kit from webercarbsdirect.com. I still need to figure out what to do with the hoses coming off the valve cover. I also removed my EGR, so I had to fab up a block off plate for the port on the head on my '82. So far I am very happy with the carb, much smoother and more power.

Same place where I got mine, I just left the egr valve in place with the vac hoses off of it. I did have to get a regulator, and block off the fuel return line from the factory mechanical fuel pump. Set my pressure to 3 1/2lb. so far so good. I do have to richen up the choke though as I don't think it stays on long enough. When it first drops off the high idle my idle drops to 500 RPM. Once warmed up it holds 750 with no problems with the lights and heater on. Without them it runs about 900. I have the high idle set at 2500 because the factory recommended 3000 just sounds ridiculous. For the hoses off the cover I just for the time being blocked off the PCV valve and let the front open to air. Havent noticed too many fumes in the cab yet from it. If I didn't have a leaking oil pan gasket the PCV valve would be hooked up to the old EGR port adapter and the front would be hooked up to the supplied elbow to the air filter.

I probably would have just left my EGR valve on there too, but the flange on it was broken and it was leaking anyway. I put the adapter on the EGR port on the intake and just have a brass plug in it for now. I'm going to mess with it after work today and tidy things up a bit. I think I'll probably hook the front valve cover port to the air cleaner, but I'm not sure on the rear one yet. I'm pretty excited about how much cleaner the engine compartment will look with all of that crap out of there.

the rear one is for the pcv, the weber kit should have come with a barb adapter to put in the place of the egr tube you had to remove to fit the carb on. The hose that goes to the pcv is what goes onto the barb fitting.
