trouble with idle and warm start up

i posted the other day about my 83 4x4 22r it was sitting for a few years toydoc gave me great info about the fuel cut off solenoid but havent looked at that yet going to spend all day tomorrow on it and would like more ideas please. basicaly i got it going put new fuel pump and fired up after a few mins it would not idle will start but not idle when it isnt cold. i drove it gas station a couple miles away to put air of course it died on its own there but when leaving it died when waiting to pull out of station it would not start on its own had to use starter fluid and take off it drove fine but seems when really warm it did this. it will stay on at idle rpm only if i give it a lil bit of gas just wont idle on its own please what should i do or check.

also it has been down for years 9 or 10 my mom was first owner and gave it to me. what all should i check, change, or whatever. i already changed oil and filter. and clean carb with carb cleaner.
also the there is a i think a vac line missing from what i believe is the choke opener or throttle positioner it is on back of carb passenger side has metal tube coming of it like a l shape hope some knows what it is and what goes to it.
reason for truck being parked was it had a busted knuckle and bent tie rod bar
