Hey guys, I'm having an issue getting my new trail gear 4:70 transfer case to bolt to my transmission in my 82 (Original 5speed, cast iron style tranny). The issue is in the linkage design of the transfer case. I had a top shift originally, so I ordered a top shift as my replacement.

Trail gear claims there's only one type of linkage on the top shift, it would appear they're wrong. So, should I just cut the hook part off or try to swap the linkage? Appreciate any help here!
