you might have bent a shift fork??? I had a similar problem on a zuk, rebuilt the tranny only to find out that the fork which controlled 1st and 2nd was slightly bent.

were you working it over to get it in to 1st???

i had to force it into first gear. i had a guy take it apart. i broke the shift fork shaft in half. a total clean break. i'm not sure if i should be bummin or take it as a accomleshment.

I'm impressed with the accomplishment, but don't blame ya if your bummin'. Clean break, huh? Nice. Sounds like somethin' I'd do, knock on wood.
