I just bought my first 1st gen truck and was looking for service manuals. My truck is a 1982 model and I am wondering which manuals would be beneficial to have and also wondering which years would be the same.
So far I have found the following:

Toyota pickup repair manual 1982
Toyota pickup truck service manual 1978-1982 including diesel and 4wd
Toyota maintenance procedures 1982
Toyota 21R, 22R engines repair manual 1980
Toyota electrical wiring diagram 1980 model
Toyota service Specifications 1980
Toyota 4wd pickup owners manual 1982

The 1982 owners manual comes with the truck but I am wondering if I need to purchase others and If so which ones? Which years would be considered the same for the 1982? I know I want a repair manual but which others would be beneficial?

 

Your list doesn't mention who published which manual. Almost nothing beats Toyota Factory Service Manuals (FSM's). Manuals from Haynes, Mitchell and Chilton can also be useful but sometimes incomplete.

Those are all Toyota manuals. The Toyota pickup repair manual is the FSM I believe

 

The FSM download is in the Stickies above. Good for 79- 83 I think.

I bought reprints of the original Toyota Owner's Manual and the factory Shop Manual from eBay & Amazon. They were good reprints and not terribly expensive. Both went with the truck when I sold it.

 

It came with the original owners manual. Lon emailed me the shop manual, but then I found an old one in good shape I Ebay I purchased too

 

Any Idea where I could find a copy of this manual online? Cant seem to find anything anywhere

I have the same 1982 Toyota as you and I found the factory service manual online thanks to a guy who shared it on Reddit. Let me check if I can still find the link for you. I( will update soon.
