Tire chains and lockers

Has anyone every tried to run tire chain's with their locked diffs? I'm wondering if it will tear things apart. I built some chains for my 33x12.50's so I could do some serious snow wheelin (and probably get really stuck somewhere) but don't want to tear anything up.

I had chains on the back tires of my 4runner for ice fishing. I did the grey wire mod and I never even had to put it in 4wd on the ice just locked with chains got me through everything pulling the ice shack behind us too. Didn't seem like there was any extra stress on anything either.
