Starter for 1980 RN37

I need a starter for my 1980 RN37 and I'm not sure if the one in it now is the original and the part number isn't legible.
Toyota says there are two possibilities, a 1.0 kilowatt and a 1.4 kilowatt.
Part numbers are 28100-35110-84 for the 1.0 and 28100-34044-84 for the 1.4
Does anyone know which one would apply to my truck ?
Also, other than the obvious difference in the kilowatts, what's the difference in the two ?
Thanks !

Speculation: One is for a diesel?

Did you specify your engine? As long as bulk doesn't interfere and the electrical hookups and bolt-holes line up either should work.

Wait. That is a 20R, yeah? I had this exact same problem. It has to do with the starter drive. Mine was a '76, passenger oil dipstick. I don't know if it would be the same but it was NAPA part# 44-4477. That's the PN for a reman starter. Cross-reference it if you can. Can't do better than that, sorry!
